Mornings in the Montessori classroom

The Montessori educational system is a child-centered approach that encourages independence, natural curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Unlike traditional education, children learn at their own pace. This structured freedom develops academic skills, independence, self-discipline, and problem-solving abilities.

Après-midis à la ferme

Les Enfants de Marsillon offers children direct contact with nature and animals, which is a powerful stimulus for sensory development and natural curiosity. By participating in simple tasks, they develop their motor skills and learn responsibility and empathy (by caring for animals). The farm is a living classroom where children learn patience and teamwork. Offering these moments on the farm is an investment in their physical and emotional well-being, while fostering a valuable connection to the real world.

The Romand Study Plan

Our educational program follows the guidelines of the Romand Study Plan (Plan d'Étude Romand, PER), ensuring a smooth and natural transition to elementary school.

am deeply passionate about the Montessori method, which for me is much more than just an academic approach. It is a true school of life: here, children learn to live together, to respect themselves and to respect others. At Les Enfants de Marsillon, children learn how to learn, make their own choices, and engage in activities they truly enjoy.

I envisioned this place as a lively, joyful space, rooted in nature and reality—a place where children can grow up freely, with their feet on the ground and their heads in the clouds.

About

Parent-school relationship

We consider the relationship with parents to be a true partnership, essential for supporting children with consistency, respect, and continuity. As such, we encourage caring and transparent communication. Parents are invited to observe the class twice a year, at the end of the first term and during the third term. Two individual meetings are also offered each year, as well as two parent workshops on topics such as Montessori pedagogy, autonomy, and motivation.
